"The power of the web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect." - Tim Berners-Lee
Good web design should be innovative without being distracting. I firmly believe that aesthetic and attractive web design can be made fully accessible. Every person regardless of age, language, or disability should be able to have a positive experience within a website.
I believe the most important thing when creating is to make the end user feel like the interface was made just for them, regardless of the demographic. From the interaction planning intricacies to the surface level design, the user is front and center.
From large scale projects to small interaction animations, movement can make design feel more organic and personal.
Empathy is a key player in user research. To properly understand the audience, it is vital the researcher places themselves into the shoes of the subject. Facing research in an understanding and empathetic way often opens new doors and shines light on problems that would have otherwise been missed.
I thrive using this iterative process to redefine and solve existing problems. The core stages of design thinking can start with any stage, as long as each step is taken, the design will benefit.
